No such luck

Well. Mom has been operated, everything went well, but they're keeping her in the hospital for a couple of days. At least that's what dad said when he called. We'll go and see her in the hospital today, but otherwise we're all pretty busy preparing for tomorrow anyhow. Dad hasn't even had time to get a Christmastree for us yet. So it'll be a Christmas, if a bit different this time.

I probably won't have time to blog from now on for a few days, so at this point I want to wish each and every one of you who read this a peaceful holiday season. Don't eat too much... :)

I wish your mother well Johanna.

I noticed that you mention Malta in your journal. Do you have a connection to the island?

I visited Turku some time ago and I fell in love with the place. Might visit again next year. Maybe when it is too hot over here.

With care

Johanna,
Sorry to hear about your Mom and her hospitalization, glad to hear that she is doing better. Enjoy Christmas for the reason it is. I look forward to checking your blog again soon.
Merry Christmas, As Always,
Greg

Robert, Greg,

Thanks for your kind thoughts. Mom's doing a lot better already and will hopefully come home tomorrow.

Robert, I don't have a connection to Malta in the sense that I'd know someone from there. I'm doing some research on the Order of Malta, though. That's why I mentioned Valetta earlier. I need to get some materials from the Order's library for my master's thesis.

And about coming to Turku when it's too hot there? Oh, we could do a switch - I could go to Malta when it's not warm enough here... :)
