My inner European

Vierran45 had this little meme in her lj, so naturally I snitched it from her.

Your Inner European is Italian!

Passionate and colorful.

You show the world what culture really is.

I like the boots, anyway. :)

And then I found this. My Celtic horoscope from the same site the meme above was originally taken. Nice.

You Are A Maple Tree

There's not anyone in this world quite like you.

You are full of imagination, ambition, and originality.

Shy but confident, you hunger for new experiences.

You have a good memory and learn easily.

You are sometimes nervous and always complex (especially in love).

Complex? Who, me? ;)

I got exactly the same results! We are not that alike, are we?

Interesting. We must be more alike than we realize. At least we both like good food and culture! :) But how does that Celtic horoscope work out, though, since you're born in the spring and I'm a child of October? Hmm.

My results:

Your Inner European is Irish!
Sprited and boisterous!
You drink everyone under the table.

You Are A Walnut Tree
You are strange and full of contrasts... the oddball of your group.
You are unrelenting and you have unlimited ambition
Not always liked but always admired, you are more infamous than famous.
You are aggressive and spontaneous, and your reactions are often unexpected.
A jealous and passionate person, you are difficult in romantic relationships.

Ahem....drink everyone under the table? Aggressive? Jealous?
Sounds like I am a typical Finnish male? ; )

I can't believa it! Mikko is French!
Smart and sophisticated.
You have the best of everything - at least, *you* think so.

He-Hee!

BTW, do you know your Irish names?
I found an Irish name generator and naturally had to try it out.

I am Fidelma O'Reilly.
Johanna is Zoe O'Conor. And Tytti
is Alannah Blake.

I once again strongly recommend that Johanna should travel to Ireland one day. Preferably before you are 80 or more. I have never seen so many men who look like elves than I did in Dublin. Loads of guys with long or longish dark hair and incredibly
blue eyes. And nice facial features too. Not that I am too excited about the elves myself. But I can certainly guess that Johanna would like those Irish blokes very much. : )

Sarin, and now it's time to go to be d and stop this babbling about nothing.

Sarin, you know that there's nothing I daydream about more willingly than elvish Irishmen. ;) However, so far I've only managed to meet ones that are considerably less elven than what I'd prefer... So yes, indeed, I do need to travel to Ireland very soon. :) Oh, what fun it would be to bring home an elf, hehee.

Of course I had to try it...
And the results are:

Your Inner European is French!

You Are A Weeping Willow Tree

You are a dreamer, and you're into almost any kind of escapism.
Restless and capricious, you love to travel to exotic places.
You are easily influenced by others, as long as they don't pressure you.
You tend to suffer in love until you find that one loyal, steadfast partner.
An empathetic friend, you love to make others smile and laugh.

But this tree thing is definitely all wrong (well I don't know about the text as parts of it are scarily accurate). ;)

Anyone who has taken a closer look at Susannas and my wedding rings knows that I am a maple and Susanna is an oak (or vice versa). :)

And talking about Ireland...
I really have to warn you not to get your hopes too high. Back in 1990 (when I was still single, I should point out) me and my very very good friend made an Interrail-trip to Britain and Ireland. Our goal was, of course, to find a couple of those ravishing Irish redheads. On all of our trip we didn't see one redheaded woman! :(
The trip in itself was a very nice adventure though:travelling through the countries with a sword hanging from your backpack (another of our goals: to buy some real swords), sleeping under the stars in a little "forest" near Stonehedge, sleeping under the stars in an apple orchard by the Glastonbury Tor, sleeping under the stars... yes it was a warm summer so we spent most of our nights sleeping outside.
A lot of nice memories, but no redheaded Irish lass. Mind you, the way my life turned out, I'm not complaining, no, not at all.

Maybe it's different with males, though. Maybe Irish elvish lads are easier to find than those redheaded lasses. ;)

I agree with Ben that there were considerably less redheads in Ireland than I originally thought there would be.
That's the image they have (or we have, I dunno) created about Ireland that there are redheads everywhere. But nope.

But the combination of dark hair and extremely bright blue eyes was indeed very common. At least among men. I didn't pay much attention to women. Sorry. ; )
